On Friday, December 11th, 2015 at 7:00pm, the Saskatoon Archaeological Society will host their annual Christmas meeting! This month’s speaker is Jacqui Quennell from the The Diefenbaker Canada Centre speaking on “Old Buildings, New Myths: A Virtual Ghost Walk Tour Through the U of S Campus”. Additionally, some of the Department’s graduate students will be on hand with posters or artifacts related to their thesis research and invite you to engage them in conversation about their work. All are welcome to attend that night! Join us for festive treats after the talk in Room 132 of the Archaeology Building (55 Campus Drive) on the UofS campus.
Abstract: Old Buildings, New Myths: A Virtual Ghost Walk Tour Through the U of S Campus
The Diefenbaker Canada Centre has adapted their award winning Ghost Tours into a virtual presentation. The Ghost Tours were created in partnership with U of S Alumni aimed at attracting alumni back to campus. October 2015 marked the 3rd consecutive year and a record breaking number of attendees. The talk will consist of a virtual walk through of central campus with an in-depth look into the lore and myths of the University’s most haunted and infamous buildings.
